3* Beaches Hotel is a large, modern hotel located on the beautiful
North Wales coast, overlooking Barkby Beach on the sea front at Prestatyn. It
has free parking, an indoor pool, a sauna, steam room and gym. The en suite rooms
have views across the beach, the Irish Sea or Prestatyn's hills. There is a large
reception lounge with a games room with a pool table. The Promenade Bar serves
bar meals and has sea views and an outside seating area. The Dunes restaurant
serves the best local produce, it is warm, welcoming and relaxed a perfect place
to enjoy a Sunday carvery lunch or evening dinner. Free Wi-Fi is available in
all the public areas. Every room has an en-suite bathroom with either a bath or

Prestatyn Golf Course is on unspoilt links land and the prevailing
southwest winds are a feature of the course with the low punched shot often a
very useful addition to the player's repertoire. It enjoys a temperate climate
and its seaside location ensures that golfers can play the greens all year round
on superb turf. Built in 1905, Prestatyn has long been a favourite with top golfers
because it has several particularly challenging holes but it can be enjoyed by
the holiday golfer who will be impressed by the extensive facilities available

Northop Country Park is in the historic town of Northop. The
golf course is parkland, the work of former Ryder Cup player and renowned golf
coach John Jacobs It has achieved maturity and reputation very rapidly. The park
is known for its fantastic views, beautiful Georgian clubhouse and first class
golf and facilities. It has hosted a number of top amateur events such as the
Welsh PGA National Championships and a professional European Challenge Tour event
the first of its kind ever to be held in Wales. Challenging holes are the 8th,
a downhill par 5, and the 380 yard 16th, a dog-legged par 4, water right, trees

Conwy Golf Club is in a truly magnificent and spectacular setting
for golf, on links land in the shadow of Conwy Mountain, overlooking the estuary
towards Llandudno's Great Orme with the Isle of Anglesey visible to the west.
Conwy was selected as a Local Final Qualifying Venue for The Open Championship
during July 2006 and only 3 players broke par. The club have hosted many other
prestigious tournaments. It has a great deal of character with humps, hollows,
hillocky tight fairways, tricky stances and the occasional blind shot. There is
heather and gorse immediately beyond the fairways and deep bunkers defend several
