De Vere Carden Nicklaus Course was designed by Jack Nicklaus and his son Steve, it is a rewarding challenge, with several 'double option'holes such as 7th and 15th which offer a choice of fairways from which to approach the green. The course offers a scenic yet strategic test of golf where position more than length is crucial. As Jack said, "it certainly is a thinking man's golf course'. The 15th hole is a long par 4 with out of bounds down the right. The second shot is over a stream to a well-protected, undulating green. Play to the fairway on the right on the 6th, leaving you a short iron to the generous green. A testing dog-leg, the 17th demands the utmost accuracy.  A precise tee shot is paramount if a bath in the lake is to be avoided. The tapering fairway offers differing lies for the approach. 7046 yards, Par 72.

De Vere Carden Cheshire Course is reminiscent of the finest British heathland courses and offers stunning panoramic views across the Cheshire countryside to the mountains of Wales.  The many natural hazards make this a highly technical course and will test your skills throughout. It builds to a dramatic and scenic finish, with tough 16th and 17th holes followed by the 18th tee on top of sandstone cliffs overlooking the resort and Welsh hills. The 9th hole is a long par 4 uphill, mostly playing into the wind. A tight tee shot will leave you with a long second shot from an uneven lie to a well bunkered green. The outstanding 12th hole is a challenge for any golfer, be careful when you're setting up your shot as you should be aiming for the right hand side of the fairway otherwise you will be looking at a very demanding 2nd shot. Be prepared to have your breath taken away once you reach the spectacular scenery of the 18th tee.  Take the driver off the 18th as the elevated tee will give you the extra hang time and remember everyone is watching your final hole from the stunning clubhouse balcony! 6844 yards, Par72.
